Have you ever had a cramp in the middle of sex? Are certain positions challenging for you? Is your limited flexibility restricting the duration and overall pleasure of your sex life?
People hold on to a lot of stored stress in their bodies. As a result, this can transmute itself into many forms and for most people, it arrives as sexual tension.
By releasing held tension, you’ll enjoy not only more fulfilling sex and more powerful orgasms. But you’ll experience life with much more clarity and joy.
The 5 Best Stretches For Better Sex
I know it may seem far-fetched that some ordinary stretches really have the power to unlock any present sexual tension, but these simple movements have been clinically proven to provide more benefits than that.

1. Bridge Pose
This stretch is multi-purpose and targets multiple areas of the body. Including your chest, neck, and hips — all while strengthening your glutes, back, and hamstrings.
To perform the bridge pose, lie on your back on the ground or on a yoga mat with your feet shoulder-width apart. Bend both your knees and place your feet firmly on the ground.
Then engage your core and glutes as you lift your hips to the sky until your torso and thighs are aligned.

2. Jefferson Curl
For people who have sedentary lifestyles, and or sit at a desk all day; stored tension in your hamstrings, neck, and back can quickly lead to a cramp during intercourse. For this movement, slowly fold your body forward and allow yourself to hang.
This breaks up tight adhesions within your muscles and frees up any sexual tension for a better evening… or morning.
You can grab your ankles/calves and pull yourself down further to increase the intensity of the stretch. If you can, aim to place your hands on the ground during this stretch. Hold for 20-30 seconds, and perform as many rounds as your body may need.
3. Foot Tension Relief
You’ll be shocked at how much tension is actually locked away in your feet. Start applying pressure to the soles of your feet and you’ll be amazed at how much tension falls out of your entire body.
This happens because a lot of the fascial tissue in your body connects to the soles of your feet. By releasing the pressure at the origin, you can alleviate tension throughout the fascial system that runs along our entire body.
To soothe stored tension in your feet, spend a few minutes per day stepping on either a golf ball or a rock mat.

4. Calf Stretch
Our calves and hamstrings are common areas of the body that store a significant amount of sexual tension that may get in the way of lovemaking.
To ease some of that tension, lie on your back with one leg extended. Wrap a band or rope around the middle of your foot and begin to pull back gently on the band/rope.
Remember not to pull too hard past your body’s capabilities. Remain in the stretch for a good 20-30 seconds then switch to the other leg once you feel comfortable.

5. Foam Rolling Glutes and Hips
Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release, meaning it’s a way of releasing physical or sexual tension by yourself. It can help relieve muscle tightness, soreness, and inflammation. Foam rolling can be an efficacious method to add to your warm-up or cooldown, before and after a workout.
Another place most people seem to store a lot of physical and sexual tension is in their hips and glutes. It’s paramount for the decrease in tension in your hips and glutes to foam roll in a slow and methodical way.
Take deep breaths while you’re foam rolling and make sure you spend time trying to dig out any free radicals that may be causing your tension. Allow your body weight to sink down into the foam roller and let gravity do the rest.
(If cramping is a constant issue for you, make sure you’re consuming potassium and electrolytes, and drinking lots of water on a daily basis.)
Where Should You Start?
It is very common to experience sexual tension either from stressors at work, school, or other life stuff. It’s time to stop letting unsanctioned and excruciating cramps get in the way of your sex life.
You probably already know where most of your tension is and you can use the value in this article to start combating that stored sexual tension for some relief.
If your tension is primarily in your neck and shoulders, start with the bridge pose and Jefferson curl. If you experience tension primarily in your glutes, start with foam rolling. If your accumulated tension is in your foot, start with foot tension relief.
